Target the inner layers of muscle to dissolve chronic tension and “stuck” tissues.
For those who carry the weight of the world in their shoulders or lower back, Deep Tissue Massage offers a more intensive solution. We go beyond the surface to address the root causes of muscle stiffness and limited mobility.
Deep Tissue isn’t just about “hard” pressure; it’s about “smart” pressure. By focusing on the deep layers of muscle and connective tissue (fascia), our therapists work to break up adhesions the painful “knots” that interfere with circulation and cause inflammation.
The therapist will use slow, deliberate strokes and deep finger pressure. You may be asked to breathe deeply as the therapist works on specific areas of tension. It is a more communicative session where you and the therapist work together to find the right depth.
You may feel some "therapeutic discomfort" when we work on a knot, but it should never be unbearable. Always speak up if the pressure is too much.
We recommend starting with our Swedish massage first to see how your body responds to touch.
It is common to feel a bit tender for 24–48 hours, similar to the feeling after a good workout. Drinking water helps!
