Triggers Point

Deactivate the hidden sources of pain that radiate throughout your body.

Precision Healing: Trigger Point Therapy

Pain in your arm might actually be coming from a knot in your shoulder. Trigger Point Therapy is a specialized technique that identifies these “hyper-irritable” spots in the muscle and releases them to stop the cycle of referred pain.

The Science of the "Knot"

A trigger point is a tiny patch of muscle that has stayed contracted, cutting off its own blood supply. This creates a “knot” that sends pain signals elsewhere. By applying cycles of isolated pressure, we force the muscle to relax and allow fresh, healing blood to flow back in.

The Key Benefits

  • Headache & Migraine Relief: Frequently targets the neck points that cause tension headaches.

  • Break the Pain Cycle: Stops the “referred pain” that travels down limbs or across the back.

  • Muscle Longevity: Prevents long-term muscle shortening and structural imbalances.

  • Instant Results: Many clients feel an immediate “release” and increased range of motion.

What Your Session Looks Like

Your therapist will palpate the muscle to find the exact point of tension. Once found, they will apply firm, static pressure for 10 to 30 seconds while you breathe. You may feel a “radiating” sensation, which is a sign that the point is being successfully treated.

FAQs

How is this different from Deep Tissue?

Deep tissue works the entire muscle; Trigger Point therapy focuses specifically on the "knots" within that muscle.

How many points are treated in one session?

It depends on your needs, but we usually focus on 3–5 major areas of concern per hour.

Is it permanent?

If the pain is caused by posture or repetitive stress, the points may return. We will provide advice on how to prevent them.
